This is the act of being saved from the power of evil.
Reference :Acts 9:1-5
The story of Paul, a man who had no fear in the Lord, who murded the disciples of Jesus, made threats and arrested those who called upon the name of the Lord.
When His day come, he met Jesus Face to face….. the risen Jesus.
This story left me in deep thoughts…. why and how can Jesus Call such a man?…… one who persecuted His own. But again, God Himself answers that in verse 15. (He is a chosen instrument of mine). And I come to realise that even a man who was lost deep in sin can still be a chosen instrument of God.
Some situation are actually there to strengthen you in your relationship with God. For God says in verse 16 that Saul would suffer for the sake of Him and I believe that whenever Saul remembered how he persecuted Jesus disciples he found energy to endure pain.
Redemption is not just meant for specific people, it is meant for everyone. For we are chosen people of God. Jeremiah Says that He knew us even before we knew Him. John 15:16 not that We chose Him but He chose us…….
Just a word of encouragement.
I know most of us have commited great sins that makes us feel worthless before God, personally am not perfect but, the decision that you take is very important……… always remember that you did not choose Him but He choose you and appointed you.
Do not let your past life prevent you from making this awesome decision. He is a good father……. one who forgives always without asking for explanation.
Bear this in mind…….. 2 Corinthians 5:21 For our sake He made him to be sin who knew no sin so that in Him we may become righteousness of God.
Never decline a call.
